About this Event
Join us at Alpkit Ilkley on the 26th of November for two talks about re-wilding and landscape recovery in the Yorkshire Dales.
Dr Tim Thom will be talking about the work of the Wild Ingleborough project. Launched in summer 2021, Wild Ingleborough is a multi-partner, landscape-scale conservation project creating a wilder future for this part of the Yorkshire Dales. Building on decades of work by Natural England and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, the project aims to combat the impacts of the climate crisis and aid nature’s recovery across this large upland area.
The second talk will be about the work of the the Yorkshire Peat Partnership. The Yorkshire Peat Partnership is a multi organisation partnership which is working to restore peatlands across the Yorkshire Dasles, North York Moors and South Pennines.
The talks will start at 7pm (please arrive from 6:45 pm). Tickets are £7.50, refreshments (Ilkley brewery beers and soft drinks) are included in the ticket price. All proceeds will go to the Alpkit Foundation and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
